The Art ans Science Of Feeling NYC

Open as of today and running throughout the weekend, a new immersive installation from Nike examines the art and science of natural motion. Located in New York City, the black-on-black labyrinthine structure is inspired by the Nike Free Hyperfeel and contains three distinct physical spaces, each presenting a different barefoot experience and a tactile exploration of unique environmental elements. Nike partnered with artists Aramique Krauthamer and Jeff Crouse on the projections and visuals, which augment the ground feel of running surfaces like stone, sand and grass.
The visitor experience is further enhanced with neuro-headsets, through which visitors produce their own audio-visual installations, informed in real time by the brain’s sensory reaction to the textures underfoot.

Located at the corner of 9th avenue and Gansevoort Street at the Gansevoort Plaza in NYC, the Art and Science of Feeling installation will be open to the public on Sept. 6, 7 and 8. A special colorway of the Nike Free Hyperfeel will also be available for purchase at this location.
